About
My name is Hazem Edaan I have spent years studying Clinical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at university till I started working in the public sector at Transport for London until I became disabled and had to stop working.
Once I realised I could not continue to support myself, I reached out for help to claim welfare benefits prior to the pandemic.
I then noticed a great number of my friends and family struggling to survive whilst battling with disabilities, learning difficulties and mental health issues. I managed to help everyone achieve great results using my experience of the welfare system, knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and high level customer service skills.
I have won hundreds of cases for people by supporting them to navigate through the welfare benefit system and to understand their issues in order to develop individual strategies to overcome their economical, social and mental health issues by creating a support network of services and specialist available in their care network.
All the work done to help people is dedicated to 2 people who inspired me as both a person and a welfare benefit advisor:
Hassan Edaan
My father who died in 2017 was the person who taught me the capacity to care for others he was both a teacher and an artist.
When I was a young boy my He noticed a homeless man sitting on the steps of Trafalgar square who was not actively begging but looked down on his luck.
we bought some food for this gentlemen and spent our afternoon feeding him My farther took a picture off the man and painted a murial of him which still stands 30 years later to this day at the back of the home I grew up in.
I cared for my farther in the last few years of his life helping him manage his Diabetes and Dementia by learning about all the relevant services able to support me to care for conditions as they declined.
Unfortunately my farther died suddenly after suffocating on a piece of fruit in my arms as all my efforts to resuscitate him had failed and ultimately I made the decision to take him off life support to end his suffering.
Sonny feetham
My best friend who passed away suddenly was the person who came up with the name better call Haz after I supported him into housing after he was made homeless during the pandemic.
Unfortunately sonny passed away the day he received his pip award which had declined to give him any points.
I contacted the Department of Work and Pensions and convinced them to change their decision and pay his backdate to his mother who could not afford to bury her son.
Sonny was the light of all of our lives, he brought happiness and joy to
everyone’s life he touched. ensuring that no one ever felt left out in spite of his own battles with addiction and mental health issues.
